RECAP “BLITZ PIX” WEEK 11

Thursday 11/13
NY JETS @ NEW ENGLAND     8:15 PM
Both of these teams have been leaning on the running game of late!  I expect that to continue this week!  both teams have an adequate defense but i think both teams should run the ball very well! I expect Benjarves Green Ellis for the pats and Jones for the jets to have big games!  Wes Welker will have the hot hand at reciever, and i look for Brett Favre to continue to find rookie tight end Dustin Keller often in this game!
Weather: chance of rain,  temp in the 40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph
WINNER : NEW ENGLAND
Recap: Jones did have a big game and Dustin keller came up HUGE! in overtime but Green Ellis was nowhere to be found!  Matt Cassel had his best day as a pr with 400 YDS passing and 3 TDS! And i missed on the winner! (barely)

SUNDAY 10/16

DENVER @ ATLANTA     1:00 PM
Denvers defense(if you can call it that) is awful!  But they seem to be able to score at will on occasion!  Jay Cutler should hook up with Brandon Marshall and rookie Eddie Royal often because of their lack of a running game! Rookie Matt Ryan is playing very well and he has a solid running game to back it up! Both Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood should have big games!
I have underestimated Atlanta this season and i wont do it again! The only way Denver wins this game is if  newly aquired Tatum Bell gets there early and swipes Atlantas team uniforms!
Weather: DOME
WINNER: ATLANTA
RECAP: The big play potential of Jay Cutler showed up again!  In a drive in the last 5 minutes of the game he threw a TD to tight end Daniel Grahm to take the lead!  Michael Turner had a good game with 89 yds on the ground and 2 TDS!  And i missed the winner here too!

MINNESOTA @ TAMPA BAY     1:00 PM
Both teams are good against the run! But Minnesota is not so good against the pass!  Jeff Garcia and Antonio Bryant should have big games! Adrian Peterson will get his yards but dont expect another 194 yard performance! 
I think Gus Frerotte will strugle as he will be pressured often in this game!
Weather: Mostly clear. Highs near 70
WINNER: TAMPA BAY
RECAP: This game went pretty much as called! Frerotte struggled, Peterson got his yards but not huge yards, Bryant would have had the hot hand if not for a TD called back due to a holding call! Got the winner!
GRADE: B+

BALTIMORE @ NY GIANTS     1:00PM
Another matchup with two of the top defences in the leauge!  This could be a low scoring game with a lot of pressure on both quarterbacks! Rookie QB Joe Flacco will struggle with the Giants pass rush and Baltimore will have a hard time running as the giants have only given up 4 rushing TD’S on the season!  The Ravens have allowed only 1 rushing TD but i expect  Giants RB Brandon Jacobs to double that total!
Weather:Mostly sunny. Highs around 50.
WINNER: GIANTS
RECAP: This game wasnt as low scoring as i anticipated but everything else i picked to a tee!

OAKLAND @ MIAMI     1:00 PM
If last weeks game against Carolina didnt kill Oakland owner Al Davis this one should! Miami is playing solid on both sides of the ball and Oakland isnt!  Oakland is jus plain bad! Ronnie brown and Ricky Williams should both have great games as most backs do against the Raiders!  I dont pick anyone on Oakland to have a good game!
Weather: Partly sunny. Breezy. Not as warm. Highs in the mid 70s.
WINNER: MIAMI
Oakland scored more than anticipated but every thin went as planned and called!

NEW ORLEANS @ KANSAS CITY     1:00 PM
Kansas City is no longer the laughing stock of the NFL!  Teams had better be ready to play when they face the Chiefs!  Tyler Thigpen has steadied the ship and Anthony Gozales and Dwayne Bowe are looking like pro bowlers again! The Cheifs also get Larry Johnson back until he screws up again!  The saints were awful last week they did not look ready to play last sunday and i dont think that will happen again!  Drew Brees should rebound and they may have Reggie Bush back too! Lance Moore and Marquese Colston should have solid games!
Weather: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. 
WINNER: NEW ORLEANS
RECAP: This game went pretty much as called too! Except for colston laying an egg!  I dont like to pat myself on the back but!  PAT PAT!

DETROIT @ CAROLINA     1:00 PM
Every NFL team should have a honalulu blue and silver doormat by now because thats what the Lions are!  The doormat of the NFL!  Everyone they have played has walked all over them!  That wont change this week!  Calvin Johnsosn is the only bright spot on this team and he doesnt have a quarterback or an offensive cordinator smart enough to get him the ball!
I like everyone on the panthers to have a great game!
Weather: Mostly clear. Highs in the mid 50s. Lows in the lower 30s.
WINNER: CAROLINA
RECAP: Damn im gettin good!  Calvin was good Kevin Johnson was suprisingly good but not as good as the 2 backs for Carolina!  Carolinas recievers and QB struggled a bit so that bumps my grade down a bit!

PHILADELPHIA @ CINCINNATTI     1:00 PM
The Bengals suprisingly beat Jacksonville in week 9 before their bye week!
Im  sure the bye week gave them time to rest and reflect and realize their still a bad team!  They have no running game, no quarterback, and a horrible defense!  The Eagles are coming off a heartbreaking loss to thr Giants and will be looking for redemption!  If your looking for a bounce back game and you cant play the Lions then Cincinnatti is where you want to be! Brian Westbrook and  all of the Eagles should have huge games!
Weather:  partly sunny. Highs in the lower 40s
WINNER: PHILADELPHIA
RECAP: Nobody saw this coming!  Why the hell does Brian Westbrook only get 17 looks the whole game?
And who the hell was that pathetic looking QB for Philly?  C’mon what do you mean you didnt know the game could end in a tie?  Have you watched the NFL before?  i’ve never personally seen a tie before but i knew you could tie!  Just Pathetic!

CHICAGO @ GREEN BAY     1:00 PM
Green Bay lost middle linebacker Nick Barnett and will struggle to fill that posistion! This is a tough game to call because both teams are pretty evenly matched and both defenses are ranked 13th and 14th respectively! The one factor that could decide the outcome is if Kyle Orton is healthy enough to play!  Rookie Matt Forte will out play Ryan Grant and Donald Driver will be the hot reciever for the Packers! 
Weather:  Partly sunny. Highs in the middle 30s.

RECAP:  I JUST STUNK THIS ONE UP! WHERE IS CHICAGOS D?  ANYONE?

HOUSTON @ INDIANAPOLIS     1:00 PM
Look for the Colts to try to get their running game going in this matchup! Both Addai and Rhodes should get carries in the backfield as Addai has struggled of late!  Reggie Wayne should play but is bothered by a sprained ankle!   Anthony Gonzales should see some passes thrown his way!  Look for rookie Steve Slaton to get his game back on track this week as the colt struggle to stop the run,  But Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter may struggle against a solid Colts secondary!
Weather: DOME
WINNER: COLTS
RECAP: This game went pretty much as planned,  Rhodes and Gonzales didnt see as much action as i planned and they didnt need to as Addai stole the show!
GRADE: A

TENNESSEE @ JACKSONVILLE     4:15 PM
Jacksonvilles defense has struggled at times this year and it doesnt look any better for them this week!  Chicago managed to control the Titans running game last week and try to make Kerry Collins beat them!  And he did!  The Titans running game is too potent for jacksonville and David Garrard will struggle against the Titans pass rush!  Both backs will shine for the Titans and i dont see many bright spots for Jacksonville!
Weather:Mostly clear. Cooler. Highs in the mid 60s. Lows in the mid 40s.
WINNER: TENNESSEE
RECAP:  Jacsonville stopped the run better than i anticpated!  Jones Drew had 2 TDS but low yardage Titans games are hard to call these days! But i got the win!

ARIZONA @ SEATTLE     4:05 PM
Seattle should get Matt Hasselback back for this game which will help but not enough!  It doesnt look like Kurt Warrner is ready to start collecting his social security checks just yet!  Boldin, fitzgerald, Breaston, Hightower, there are just too many weapons on this team for Seattle to contend with!  I smell a blowout in this game!
Weather: UNAVAILABLE
WINNER: ARIZONA
RECAP: Sure was closer than i thought it woul be and Breaston didnt get as many looks as usual and were back to a carousel of runnigbacks for Arizona!  C’mon just pick one already!

ST LOUIS @ SAN FRANCISCO     4:05 PM
I like everybody that plays against St. Louis!  The Lions could beat this Rams team!  That being said new head coach Mike Singletary should get his first gatorade shower as the  49rs get their first win for him!
Weather: cloudy high around 70.

SAN DEIGO @ PITTSBURGH     4:15
Pittsburghs defense is a monster! Thats why their ranked 1st!  This could turn into a high scoring game as this is one of the most potent passing offenses the Steelers have faced this season!  Hinse Ward will see a lot of passes thrown his way and Willie Parker should return to a good matchup!  Ladanian Tomlinson has voiced his concern about his team shying away from the run and throwing too much, but i dont think that Pittsburgh is the place you want to try to run more as they have given up only 3 rushing TD’S  on the year!  Tomlinson will catch some passes as they will try to get him more involved! Antonio Gates should have a good solid performance!  This will be my upset of the week!

WINNER: SAN DEIGO
RECAP: Does anyone know what happened in this game?  I sure dont!  All of my upset picks seem to lose in the last minute of the game an by 3 points or less!

DALLAS @ WASHINGTON     8:15 PM
Both teams are comming off their bye week and should be ready to roll in this divisional matchup!  Tony Romo is expected back and thats good news for the struggling Cowboys!  Cry baby Terell Owens should be happy but he wont!  He will be doubled all day long and Jason Witten and Roy E. Williams should benefit from that and Marion Barber should do well too!  The Redskins may be without Clinton Portis this week and that would be a huge loss if Shaun Alexander is their starting RB!  Santana Moss and Chris Cooley should see more balls thrown their way if Portis does not play!  Dallas should win if Romo is under center!  If not Washington runs away with it!
Weather: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 30s.
WINNER: DALLAS
RECAP: Not too much too recap here either!  I called this one pretty close too!

Monday  11/17 
CLEVELAND @ BUFFALO     8:30
Marshawn Lynch has struggled this season but his fortunes should change against this suspect Cleveland defense!  Trent Edwards and Lee Evans should get back on track as well and the Buffalo defense should know the game plan Cleveland has for Brady Quinn!  Short passes looking for yards after the catch!  Look for Kellen Winslow and Dante Stallworth to benefit from the short passing game and deep threat Braylon Edwards to suffer from it!  If Buffalo plays a zone defense and ties up the middle of the field thy should handle Cleveland pretty easily!
Weather: Snow  likely. Lows in the upper 20s. Chance of snow 60 percent.

RECAP:  I just dont even want to talk about this game!  Sombody get Buffalo a new QB!
